Is refering to Minus Land in the story as a Minus World something of a Square Peg Round Trope here? It's basically a videogame trope (and this book predates videogames), and whilst I suppose (as in my example on the trope page) reckoned you could analogise it as such (de-ageing yourself before you were born is kind of a glitch in reality, and Minus Land is kind of a rather weird place filled with all sorts of strange stuff), it's hardly something that is a random error in the story itself, rather an integral and deliberate part of the plot.
