Could we possibly add this picture as the article pic? I don't know how it's done, so it'd be awesome if someone could do so for me.
Might want to take the red bullets off of the "Rewatch Bonus" entry on this page, since Word of God invokes it.
Cut this from the Public Executioner entry:
"Like the Discworld examples above, people did want souvenirs and Severian talks about playing to the crowd."
Quite apart from obviously being copy-pasted from the trope page, this is what public executions were actually like. No need to bring an unrelated series into this.
It does not matter who I am. What matters is, who will you become? - motto of Omsk BirdMore on the never-ending subject of Severian's looks: the noblewoman Severian sleeps with at the fancy dress party in the third book extrapolates from his other features exactly what his face looks like, which is apparently handsome. Obviously, he's wearing a mask, so again, the evidence is extremely unreliable.

There are two references to South America as the location of the books in this entry. One says World of God says it's based on a different iteration of the universe (Banana Republic entry) and another says this is an Epilleptic Trees Theory (Christianity is Catholic entry).
Not only it's obvious the book is set there if you have been to South America. A different iteration of the universe or not, Word of God clearly states: "If you read the book carefully, it's clear that the action is taking place in South America and that the invading Ascians are actually North Americans". This is my first contribution here, so I *really* don't want to edit the page. So I'll let somebody take care of this...
