Zac efrons character seems to much an idiot in joining the circus on a Whim, especially how he later on were responsible for the actors and economy and the circus in general when Hugh wasnt. Especially in the song to the other side he were quite clear that he admired the show but would lose much (like almost everything, his enheritence, parents approval or love etc) but one thing bothering me is that Zac would have been raised on the principle that he one day have to take over the family buisness that could have been going on for generations and just throwing all that away on a whim, does not feel at all realistic for me. And if he threw everything away a guy in the 1800-hundreds from the elite would probably not just settle for 10 procent. Also if he hated his position that much he should be smart enough (from his shown intelligence in the movie) to wait a few years get his inheritance and also take over the family buisness to then invest in a theatre or a circus that he have complete control and freedom to do what he wants, plus the ability to take all the profits and wont lose a thing. So zac joining hugh that hasitly because of a song is not realistic based on the timeframe and his intelligence.
