Does Fidias' Hugging Elon Musk fit this trope?
it seems fitting for me....
This sketch went out on a satirical BBC show in 1980. At the time it was meant to convey only that Rolf Harris' TV show was so God-awful mediocre that the only way it could get an audience was if the kids were rounded up by brute force. But viewed from 2023! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EkzxGr4Yx8U
Parking it here, so it's easily retrievable if the edit ban ever comes down.
An additional cherry on top for the Crow's Real Life production: the actor who fired the shot? He had to live with that for the rest of his days and beyond. Every last obituary and memorial not only mentioned it, most led with it! Despite not being to blame, and indeed blamed by pretty much nobody, he could never escape it.
Is there a case for adding an entry regarding the music video John Legend made? Chrissy Teigen announced in that video that she was expecting their third child, only to experience a stillbirth at 20 weeks.
Hide / Show RepliesI don’t remember what song this was a music video for, but the video was made in 2020.
Think we could add this opening monologue narration for the 2018 NBA Draft due to one of the images involving Kobe Bryant fading away completely, which unfortunately became something that happened in real life only a year and a half after the airing of that NBA Draft?
Under Real Life: It is incorrect that Vaclav Klaus was killed in a plane crash, he is still alive.
Under Real Life: "The pastor allegedly had even told her that "she was lucky not to have been born during Old Testament times when she would have been stoned to death"."
Um, no.
Deuteronomy 22:23-28. What it boils down to is that in Old Testament times, the rapist would have had to pay the girl's father a fine, and probably would have been stoned. If the girl was too scared/threatened to cry out during the event, she could have cried out for justice afterwards to the priest/judge class. She would only have been stoned if she was a willing participant -and this poor girl wasn't.
The pastor in that case was not only an enabling bastard, his selective interpretation was disgusting.

There is, it turned out, another layer to why Johnny Kitagawa was so fiercely against export - more likely than not he did not want foreign media to know about him SA-ing boys at his agency. (And indeed, it took a BBC report for Japanese media to finally take the case seriously)
