As a side note, and from someone who actually liked 300 sincerely, the "slow-mo being restrained for Snyder" line was rather funny.

Mr Death: So the main page seems to imply that Hollis Mason's murder was expanded in the Director's Cut...but I don't remember seeing it at all in the normal cut. Granted, I've only been catching it on HBO, but I've seen it through about three or four times and I don't remember seeing anything at all of Mason after that first time he talks to Dan. Was the whole death sequence cut from the original release? If that's the case, the entry under Tear Jerker needs a little bit of rewording.

Just so, that scene is completely absent from the theatrical cut.
