Artistic License Law-

The page lists ending the Purge by executive action as artistic license because of the difficulty of amending the Constitiution. But maybe Roan is just planning to wait until the next purge night so she can appoint 20 friends to the Supreme Court, then change the Constitution by executive fiat.

That's going to be hard. Unless 20 people died there won't be any open spots for her friends.

The number of seats on the court is set by statute (there are currently 9), so she could just change that statute when the purge started.

I just kind of feel like in any world where the Purge can be passed into law, we're no longer in a world where you can assume our legal system applies at all.
