Fake Romance

Is there a trope for stories with fake romances.

Other than The Proposals, there's also Holiday Engagement, Holiday in Handcuffs, My Fake Fiancé and A Walk in the Clouds.

This seems to be a non-example. We don't revisit these characters years later regretting not taking this relationship further. This one is for the great love of a character's life, only realized to be such much, much later.

The One That Got Away: Gert, for Andrew. Andrew didn't want to stay and Gert didn't want to leave and that wasn't changing just because they were apart.
