Why are there so many references to Greer's partner being pregnant? Is it something from the comic? In the film, we only see her meat body twice; the first time, she does appear to have a bit of a belly, but that could simply be the result of being out-of-shape. The second time, she's covered by a quilt.

I added the "Anyone Can Die" trope to this film, and it was removed, but I think it applies. The character introduced as the deuteragonist is killed, and then later a major character, the Prophet, is "killed." It certainly seems like an "Anyone Can Die" situation to me.
Removed from main page, as there is a cleanup effort on GIFT underway and I am not sure what to do with this entry:
- GIFT: People tend to use the no-consequence nature of Surrogates with abandon to behave in ways they couldn't in person.
