Would the Death Seeker trope apply to Doyle? Watching the scene again there was a lot of facts that seem to come into question.
1. He didn't mind Karl being in the house even though he strictly told him to get out. Even asking him where Frank and Linda are.
2. He tells Karl how to call the police and ambulance, right after Karl said he was gonna kill him.
3. When he did say he was gonna kill him, Doyle remained stoic. Only being Not So Stoic when Karl hits him with the Mower blade.
Was he a Death Seeker or simply too drunk and out of his mind to care what happened to him?
