For a movie that was entirely about finding easter eggs in video games... and viewing extra parts of videos... and basically finding the hidden everything... it was extremely strange to me that there was no post-credits scene.
Hide / Show RepliesNot every movie's a Marvel flick, and all the Easter eggs had been found at that point.

- Meaningless Villain Victory: Nolan Sorrento succeeds in killing all the players on planet doom, only for it to turn out in short order: a) Wade had an extra life from the Curator. b) Nolan would have completely failed Halliday's Secret Test of Character right after. c) Halliday's Virtual Ghost and Morrow were both monitoring the entire competition anyway, and neither of them would have given Nolan or IOI control of the OASIS given IOI's usage of debt slaves is in direct opposition to their ideals for the virtual world.
Sorrento doesn't win. He succeeds in killing all the players in OASIS, but that wasn't his goal. He wanted to find the Easter Egg and ruin OASIS with ads. Killing everyone in OASIS was still several steps away from his goal. If he had found the Egg, but fallen for the final test, or better yet have gotten the egg but been unable to seize control of OASIS with it, those would have been examples.
Right at the start after Wat dons his glasses and explains the whole deal with OASIS, a Motel flies by as he describes that people do "other things" as well. Definitely getting crap past the radar material.
"We all learn from our mistakes. For instance, I learned that I make a lot of mistakes"I see other work multimedia pages have their respective triva pages and YMMV pages merged and then seperated on the page by headings.
Along with the date being included in the title only if another page already exists in the namespace (see How to Create a Work's Page for an example)
Is there a reason this film has a date and seperate Trivia and YMMV pages?
Hide / Show RepliesSpecifically to prevent that kind of subpage collision.

Removed from main page, as there is a cleanup effort on ZeroesAndOnes underway and I am not sure what to do with this entry:
- Zeroes And Ones: Naturally for a movie where a big chunk of the action happens in Cyberspace, this imagery comes up. Especially with Innovative Online Industries, whose acronym "IOI" is used everywhere, styled as to look like "101", and melded into blocks of zeroes and ones in their advertisements/communications.
