Under Appeal to Familial Wisdom, we currently have this: "Callie's advice to her daughter on the first day of school is, 'don't be yourself'." I saw the movie yesterday, and that's not how I remember it. "Don't be yourself" is what Phoebe says to her mother as Callie is leaving for her date with Grooberson. (It's possible that the line is used twice, and I'm relying on memory here, so I won't edit the article until I can verify this.)

Either her mom or Trevor tells her to "Don't be yourself" on the car ride over.

That said, I don't think it's family wisdom. Callie was telling Phoebe to not be herself so she's getting back at her about the rather hurtful comment by giving her the same advice. If anything, it sounds like an Ironic Echo rather than family wisdom.

Quote Attribution: i don't think that's Paul Rudd as Mr. Grooberson. It sounds like Dan Aykroyd to me.
