Removed from main page, as there is a cleanup effort on one of the pages linked here underway and I am not sure what to do with this entry:

Couldn't find any tropes for this: Dolittle locked his estate for 7 years prior to his journey. He likely didn't receive any food supplies from outside world for all those years. There is a lion cub in the movie, obviously several months old, its parents are nowhere to be seen. If Dolittle kept lions, he had to provide them meat, this means keeping and slaughtering livestock (that can talk). The other carnivores among his animal friends are Jip and Yoshi, both can eat fish from local pond. If octopus can talk, so does probably fish. Insects in this universe are also sentient, and some of Dolittle's animals are insectivores (such as sugar glider).

The items removed from dragon's butt are suspiciously clean and undamaged, not burned, crushed or partially digested. A human arm magically remains articulated.
