Is there a reason Author Appeal is a trope if it can't be added to the page?

The 'corrector' says it's not a trope, but it's listed as a trope. Unless I'm missing something.

I said it's not THE trope. The trope description for Author Appeal should tell you why, but if needed you can PM me and I will attempt to explain. Also, you can edit discussion page entries rather than responding to yourself if you think of more to say.

I also noted the number of potholes. Look at All Blue Entry for more on that.

I think it needs a better description then. At least the the "Laconic" description, as it reads: "Writers include things they find attractive in their stories."

Since you feel the need to discuss this, you can do it here; we are on the discussion page. I'll admit that that (above) description is broad - but that isn't my fault. So you can help me along.

I will admit, I'm a little irritated by the All Blue Entry, thing - only when I consider some of the tropes pages I've seen, but otherwise, I'm good with it. Not like I can do anything about it, even if I do find it quite a bit ironic.

But thank you, yes - I'm aware of the edit button.

I didn't ask you for a private message, and I won't read one. You obviously didn't listen to me, which proves how little you pay attention, and how much the opinions of others are worth to you. I asked you a question, not for a lecture, so don't waste my time.

It doesn't count as 'Author Appeal' because the guy has only done one movie? Is that what you're getting at? After the guy admitted that he finds it appealing, that's still not enough? That's pretty anal.

Under Cluster F-Bomb, there was this:

  • Fun bit of useless trivia: The age rating for the region 2 DVD copy of the movie is a 15 for strong bloody violence, and...no, this can't be right...ONE use of very strong language?! No, no, no...

I added:

  • It's only one use of strong language. It's just repeated 137 times.

This got deleted as Natter so I'm moving it to Discussion, as requested.
