Can we please remove all the obnoxious "warning: slash" things? It reeks of Get Back in the Closet and general homophobia. The pairing line is surely enough of a heads-up about whether the fic involves TEH TERRIFYING GAY slash.

While I seriously doubt the intent was homophobic, I personally have no problems with removing the warning for slash. The pairing should be giveaway enough and if it's supposed to be a secret, it can be hidden behind spoiler tags.

The slash warning is part of the general fanfic guidelines for the site. As a former slash writer (actually femslash, but it was for a Disney show so the reaction was just as bad), I can tell you that it's better to warn people upfront than have them waste review space yelling at you.

as part of general clean up this is adjusted to reflect all sexual encounters Het, Bi, Gay, anything else<lack of imagination prevents me going into further detail>, etc.

removed as part of clean up. Not sure if "somebody else" is a badly formatted troper name, or a "cute" attempt to hide an author self rec, if re-adding please make sure correctly formatted

'' Dream Girl by Punctuator

  • Recommended by somebody else
  • Summary: An exploration of Robert Fischer's life pre-inception, examining his first experience with Dreamtime.
  • Comments: I've left this summary vague because the plot twists like...something very twisty. Punctuator has succeeded spectacularly in creating an original flavor fic. Seriously, the plot and characterization are interesting/believable to the point that it passes for canon. There are strong hints of Fischer/OC, but it serves the plot rather than vice-versa. Features a brand of psychological manipulation that would make Cobb blush and an ending that'd make Chris Nolan proud.''

And again: Encapsulation by Kuryakin Girl

  • Recommended by me
  • Summary: Extractions steal ideas. Inceptions plant ideas. Encapsulations trap ideas, but can it ever be reversed? Arthur hopes so. Post-movie team mission-fic...
  • Comments: (Despite what the summary says, it's more Eames-centric than Arthur, but all of the Dream Team get a bit of face time here.)
    • I've read many Inception fanfics, and what I have not yet found is a fic that can actually capture the feel of the characters as they are in the movie, while adding cool new stuff on top of it. This fic manages to pull it off, on top of having a female OC that is NOT a Mary Sue! Absolutely one of the better Inception fanfics out there.

Third verse, same as the first. Please sign these properly.

A Game of Kings by Asher Atori

  • Recommended by... that guy over there.
  • Summary: "There are things worse than death, but you won't understand them until you've died one thousand times over." The team's past comes back to haunt them, and their young architect learns there is far more to the world of dreams than just Inception...
  • Comments: Grammer nazis (like ME) will cringe at the punctuation, but the fic more than makes up for it in coolness. Unlike most Inception fanfics out there which sacrifice an interesting plot (and some other things) for Slash, this great fic manages to have a good plot. Well written, interesting, and very original (or at least as original as a fanfic can be, considering).

Death Is Not A Parallel Move by randalcake fistibuns
