Has this story been cancelled by the author? I'm new to fanfics and particularly enjoy crossovers with RWBY, with this one catching strong interest. There were more chapters for this on Fanfiction.net (a little over 40), along with a recently new spinoff [Hyper Lethal Pups] consisting of 2 chapters thus far.
I was continuing after the Merlot Island segments. However, going back and the whole thing has gone missing. Not only that, but ALL of his works seemed to vanish, leaving behind a bio message saying "Why are you here?" Did something happened to the author or did I miss some sort of announcement...?

There’s doesn’t seem to have been any kind of announcement, and this was seemingly without warning. It’s possible he got tired of the toxic community on on fanfiction.net. Wether positive or negative, reviews weren’t exactly respectful. Some people would criticize him or just insult his work, while others, and those who liked the story would get toxically defensive.
Seriously?! It's GONE?! Come ON! It was SO well made and satisfying to read. Why were SO many people harassing the writer anyways? Were they just toxic trolls that wanted to bully a great author for fun? All that work, story telling, world building gone. If they really didn't like the story, then just stop reading, don't insult and cyberbully the writer. Man it pisses me off.
Honestly, if the author removed everything he wrote from FF.net because of the toxicity of both the trolls and his own fans, I don't entirely blame him for doing that. He might've just gotten sick of the fact that people were PM'ing him either toxic vitriol or blind support. Wolves That Walk Alone DOES exist on Archive of Our Own, though it only goes up to "Fangs of Rage" and I really hope that one doesn't get removed.

Yeah. I saw that too. Feeling relieved that least there's SOME access to it. Plus, I noticed that he's been doing some activity with the other story involving Arknights. So I'd understand if he needed a break or to get away from FF.net. Looks like he's been getting positive comments on Archive, with recent ones associating with the Arknights story and acknowledgments for his decision on FF.
I hope that his other works will be uploaded to Archive, along with an update on Wolves.

It got deleted again?! Hmmm. Well, there is another source through Fiction Hunt, with its up-to-date chapters and side-story. The Man states the plug for this hasn't been pulled yet. Perhaps a reupload may be upon us, then...?
Is anyone here willing to write up a Nightmare Fuel page for this fanfic? Given how much darker it is compared to canon RWBY, I'm sure that there are quite a few terrifying moments that deserve mentioning.
