Uh, hi, I'm the one who added that trope. I saw the trope in the Omelas Car recap page, and I immediately began thinking for any examples on the verse, as I do feel like this trope permeates all the way back in BT.
I can't think of anything, though, so I think I'll hide it until I can remember an example.
I see! Thanks for explaining! Hmm... maybe the whole "Chloe is stuck at the Cerise Lab" theme? I think I could see that as an example- you know, "Chloe is stuck at the lab because her father doesn't care about her. He doesn't care for her because if he did, he would let her out of the lab." You know? Of course, that might not be a real example, and I might just be crazy. Maybe you could make something out of the question "Why was Chloe not out on adventures?" Though, that might be Begging the Question instead- the presumed answer from the start is that Professor Cerise is sexist and/or favors Ash and Goh. But once again, don't take my word for it! I've never contributed on either of those tropes before, so I'm not certain of how they're meant to work.
I see. I think I'll outright delete the trope just in case, at least until actual examples can be found.
Hello everyone! I just wanted to open up a conversation because I noticed just now that the trope "Circular Reasoning" was added to this page since the last time I looked. I'm intrigued, but I wanted to ask if anyone has more specific examples to offer, as I'm not seeing any on the Blossoming Trail or the main trope page.
