Quite frankly, I feel these new distinctions make the indexing a much bigger mess because of arbitrary divisions that aren't entirely clear whether the first category is to consider multimedia(or platform) franchises or if they were done in collaboration with other companies?

To what level of involvement?

Like, the company itself financing projects or owning the IP or their studio lending their help on some anime episodes?
