I read one of his short stories in a text book and I think it's called The Bet. It was interesting and thought provoking.

Interestingly, he kinda averts his "own" trope in a horror short story: After a seance, the protagonist finds a coffin in his house. But there is no corpse in it, no monster and no whatsoever...only a bankrupcy fraud letter. (It makes sense in context.)
