It is still classified as a Mythical Pokemon on Bulbapedia and in the updated version of the official Legendary/Mythical guide, so it is still a Mythical

"Mythical" is basically in-universe lingo for "Legendary Pokémon that are not available in games outside of events". As in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sappire you can catch Deoxys without events or Mystery Gifts, he is not a Mythical anymore.
