When the regular Avengers were rescued by the "reserve Avengers," Hawkeye wasn't sure he wanted to be "second choice." He did with the others, however, end up being picked up for another "mission" that Spidey suggested to Iron Man—a charity softball game they were prepping for when the Collector struck.

One Marvel Adventures Fantastic Four issue was a "No Spoken Dialogue" episode where it started with Johnny having been pranked by Ben (and the first thought balloon is Ben laughing). There ARE sound effects though, and labels and a timer readout. Most of the ideas are in picture form, though one bit has Reed against a Wall of Math Formulae as he's talking—then realizes the others' don't know what he's saying. So he has his "dialogue balloons" filled with a picture that describes what could happen. THEN the others realize how serious this is.
Another had Johnny jumping through alternate universes—one that scares him in particular was the leader of the FF wasn't Mister Fantastic...but Spider-Man, and Sue's got his elbow. Whether this was an alternate Reed or an alternate Peter Parker in place of Reed isn't determined as Johnny bugs out. Uatu helps Johnny back, and defends his action to his fellow Watchers as it was the only way to keep Uatu from missing more stuff (and keeping Johnny from possibly messing up worse).
What about Hawkeye thinking the Avengers Spidey and Cap got to save those kidnapped by The Collector were "Replacement Goldfish"?
