I'm opening a discussion about the contents of Streets of Rage Remake in this page. I'm pinging to ~MasterJoseph and ~McJeff. The former because of the topics already posted below and made the split once, and the latter because of merging Remake characters page back to this page, twice.

I'll be straight with this. I do not think Streets of Rage Remake contents belong here at all. Although it is the most famous fan game of SoR and had influence on SoR4, it's just a fan game. There's no reason to treat this game any more special than other fan works unless it's officially sanctioned by associated IP owners (which, to my knowledge, never happened). The last edit by McJeff cited its reason as "there was never consensus to split in the first place", but I don't get this as a justification because this case seems crystal clear to me. Streets of Rage Remake is an unofficial fan work and should be treated as such.

Yep. Much as it's pretty neat, it's just a fanwork that at most merits a mention in the main page's description (which, upon checking after saying that, it currently has).

They obviously need to be split.

The editor who made the reverts doesn't seem to come back any soon and waiting more than a week is enough, so I went ahead and made the split. There're still a lot of remnants about the remake, and I suggest they be moved to the main Video Game page Streets of Rage Remake because there're not long enough to get their section in the character page.

I also added an annotation on the top of both pages suggesting not to merging the pages and a link to this discussion.

From the pretty short description for Electric Black Guy:

This eventually developed into a consistent pattern in which African-American superheroes, or black superheroes in general, had Shock and Awe powers.

Examples on this page don't necessarily need to be superheroes though. A Sub-Trope of Fountain of Expies.

African American or black. There are some examples of Ambiguously Brown characters otherwise, but no one who is explicitly of another race is listed under the trope.

If Floyd is explicitly Polynesian, he is (probably) not of African descent, as it is not brought up at any point that he is of mixed heritage and the trope should not apply. His design intent from an unfinished version of the game shouldn't be brought up anywhere but in Trivia.

Street of Rage Remake is a fan game and I do not think information from it belongs here.

Streets of Rage Remake has its own page, so I think character tropes from there should be moved from this page.
