Removed from main page, as there is a cleanup effort on BastardBoyfriend underway and I am not sure what to do with this entry:

  • Bastard Boyfriend: Don is basically never good to his girlfriends or his wives Betty or Megan, but he's especially this to Bobbi after she threatens to tell his wife.

I'm not entirely sure about this one (listed under Don Draper):

  • Heel–Face Door-Slam: Don's character arc in the final season has him suffering an emotional breakdown due to the failings of his second marriage and the company's absorption into McCann. After finally coming to terms with all of his shortcomings, Don realizes the one thing he's really good at and enjoys doing is being an advertiser.

This would seem to be the opposite of, or at least in conflict with, what the trope actually describes. The trope describes a moment where the character seems like they're going to redeem themselves and switch from a bad guy to a good guy, only for their efforts to be rejected or for events to intervene in such a way that ensures that they're incapable of redemption. This moment, however, is played (and is described here) more akin to Don finally finding some measure of peace and understanding of himself. While he might not be redeemed, exactly, it doesn't necessarily suggest that he's now utterly beyond redemption; he's just realised where his personal strengths lie.
