Removed from main page, as there is a cleanup effort on one of the pages linked here underway and I am not sure what to do with this entry:
- Instant Awesome Just Add Dragons: His battleship is shaped like a colossal white dragon that would put Seto Kaiba to shame, apparently for no real reason other than "dragons are cool" since Xemnas otherwise lacks Animal Motifs.
Cybernetic Mythical Beast, maybe? I recall that his battleship moves like a living thing more than a machine.
Edited by SullenFrog The Danse Macabre CodexCan you help me fix the xehanort incarnations folder? I was trying to fix it but it delete by accident somehow.
Hide / Show RepliesShould Terra-Xehanort be the Arch-Enemy of Aqua since xehanort stoke terra’s body and is a personal foe for aqua just like vanitas is to Ventus?
Hide / Show RepliesI don't think Terra-Xehanort gives Aqua enough special attention to be her Arch-Enemy.
Well he did encounter her the most than other xehanort incarnations. And aqua even says that they have unfinished business in re:mind.
Edited by Duncril01That he fights her the most isn't enough, he doesn't have enough special antipathy for her beyond being another enemy. Arch-Enemy needs to be a two way street.
I'm sure that by now most people know that Terra is Terranort's Guardian, so should these tropes be moved to Terra's folder?
The Kingdom Hearts wiki changed the Guardian's name to Dark Figure as shown here: https://www.khwiki.com/Dark_Figure
The One Behind has been made it's name in Japanese. Should we change the name here?
Edited by Mattman_the_Storyteller Hide / Show RepliesSeeing as the Replica Xehanorts are more affiliated with Master Xehanort himself, I propose moving their folder over to his page.
Hide / Show RepliesYou can probably throw them in, they got a few things to catalog about them.
I have done so. I'll see about adding an image soon.
The Danse Macabre CodexDo you guys think we should make a character sheet for "The Boy in Black", AKA Young(est) Xehanort?
One could make the argument that most of his tropes apply for Young Xehanort. But, I dunno, The Boy in Black acts completely differently from Young Xehanort and apparently exists from even earlier in the KH chronology, if the KH 3 retcon of Young Xehanort is accurate.
Edited by ThursdaysGregor I write Danganronpa fanfiction. Check it out! — http://archiveofourown.org/works/7153799/chapters/16241927 Hide / Show RepliesGiven the many profiles moved to htis page, I think it's become too diluted from its focus, and a bit long. Here's my suggestios:
Master Xehanort, Young Xehanort, No Heart, Terra-Xehanort, "Ansem", and Xemnas stay here.
Xigbar, Saix, Marluxia, Larxene, and Luxord are moved back to Organization XIII.
Vanitas and Dark Riku stay here under a new header, "Xehanort's Accomplices", and we move Braig there from the Independent Villains page. That section can also have folders directing people to Maleficent and Org XIII.
Hide / Show RepliesI agree but with addendum that the Nobodies original forms be in the same header as their Nobodies (Of course not counting Roxas, Xemnas and Namine) since they are just extensions of their Nobody selves.
Edited by lycropathXigbar probably needs his own page at this point.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Agreed on Xigbar, and I'd also say yes, merge the original selves with the Nobody, including Braig and Xigbar.
Merged. I held off on Lauriam and Elrena though, I don't know KHX and how close to the Nobody they are to judge if they're close enough to the same character to be one profile.
For the sake of cleanup, since now like half the entries on the Organization XIII page link out to different pages, maybe the True Organization and Organization XIII pages can be combined?
And then categorize them: "True Organization XIII" and "Former Members."
Edited by Lionheart0 Hide / Show RepliesXehanort's page should probably just be Xehanort, Ansem, Xemnas, Terranort and Young Xehanort and the Guardian. Maybe Vanitas, but the rest would probably be more at home on the original page.
Also its kind of strange having every Nobodies original human form divided and put onto a different page since most of them are not distinct characters from their Nobodies.
Agreed with keeping this page just to the Xehanorts. Dark Riku and Vanitas could go on the Independent Villains page, or we could make a page like "Xehanort's Accomplices" for Braig, Vanitas, Dark Riku, or make such a section here and just retitle the character page "Xehanort".
And agreed on not separating the Nobody and Human forms, as you say they're not distinct characters from each other and III really makes it clear with many of them being vague on if they're Nobodies or not.
Edited by DrakeClawfangHey, I've been thinking. Would it be okay if we moved Xehanort's Guardian from the Enemy Creatures page to this page? I mean, the thing's more associated with Xehanort than the Heartless, so I think we should move it to the Terranorts section of this page. What do you guys think?
Hide / Show RepliesThe Famitsu article on the new trailer was translated and appears to confirm that Marluxia at the very least is a part of True Organization XIII, if not a full Xehanort yet. Should there be a sub-category here for people confirmed to be in the new Org XIII that aren't also a Xehanort incarnation?
Hide / Show RepliesThe article itself is only speculating, making such statements in the form of questions, not actual confirmed facts.
Given how important the True Organization XIII is going to be, it would be wise to either include a section for them at the end of the existing Organization character page, or make an entirely new one if it's big enough. Either way, we'll have to wait until we get more solid info.
Given the increasingly lengthy Edit Reasons and Edit War, it only seems too appropriate to start a full-fledged Discussion:
Master Xehanort's Informed Ability.
I concede that it's Playing with a Trope, because MX does prove himself an effective Opportunistic Bastard onscreen; however, I also contest that Big Good Yen Sid is just Character Shilling him as The Omniscient, because all of MX's long-term successes have relied so heavily on All There in the Manual, Idiot Balls, Offstage Villainy, Retcons, Shocking Swerves, etc. (and yes, the Informed Ability page does contain examples of supposed Chessmasters with similar problems).
Hide / Show RepliesAt no point does Yen Sid describe MX as The Omniscient. He in fact did NOT believe that Xehanort could have planned from Destiny Islands' destruction to their Sleeping World venture at the one time he could have done anything about it... and indeed, the man didn't predict the majority of it by sheer brainpower, only saw it in the same manner as Terra occasionally receiving flashes of future events from points of view AFTER said events had been established.
Xehanort's chosen method of time travel is the same exact method used by Sora and Riku in the very beginning of DDD. It's frankly ridiculous to refer to something as an "Asspull" when it's literally the first thing we see the main characters do in that particular game. The game also goes on to describe the method in MUCH detail, so I have no idea how it's "poorly explained".
Again, WHAT Retcons? I asked before what exactly DDD changed of what was already established, and received no real answer. I'd appreciate it if we'd refrain from throwing the term around haphazardly like that. Seriously, I've heard someone call a door a Retcon for no discernible reason.
Offstage Villainy? As in setting up parts of the plan away from the main characters perspective? Okay, he does this, as well as actually enacting the meat of those plans right there WITH said main characters. So... HOW exactly does this detract from his scheming capabilities?
So the old Keyblade trio had lousy communication skills. So some of them were paranoid about Terra's darkness, Terra himself included. So Yen Sid didn't realize that Xehanort's bodiless state would make it possible to chase Sora and Riku into the Sleeping Worlds until he'd already sent them on your way. ...And? Part of what you're saying seems to be that the characters making mistakes that Xehanort was able to predict and plan around somehow disproves his strategic ability. I don't understand this line of thinking at all. He's predicting the mistakes and flaws of his opponents, and this does not make him a good planner? This makes no sense.
WHAT Shocking Swerves? The time travel thing that the main characters had already used? The possessing of others' bodies that was already his MO for pretty much the entire story? I'm sorry, but at this point it just sounds like you're tossing random bad-writing tropes at the wall to see what sticks.
All Yen Sid said was that Xehanort, with the knowledge afforded by the experiences of his Heartless and Nobody, would easily be able to predict their next move concerning the Sleeping Worlds. And, indeed, Xehanort did just that. At no point does this constitute "Informed Ability".
Frankly the entire entry needs to be rewritten, it's not even fully clear what "ability" he's informed as having, with it more being about complaining about the series' retcons and plot holes. I'd go for more something like this.
- Informed Ability: The other characters regard him as the ultimate schemer, leaving nothing to chance and being skilled in long-term plans with multiple back-ups just in case. However, this status of his only comes about due to 3D retconning the actions of Ansem and Xemnas as them acting in accordance with Master Xehanort's plans, and everything that happened in the prior games was All According to Plan. Further, all of Xehanort's incarnations are rather frequently blindsided or make mistakes, which Master Xehanort even admits in 3D. He's really not so much a great schemer as he is lucky at playing Gambit Roulette.
Me too.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?
Can we add World's Strongest Man to Ansem and Xemnas since they are the strongest Heartless and Nobody respectively?
