I don't quite get this from Gender Flip: "Dirk and Roxy have opposite chumhandles and personalities compared to Dave and Rose."

I get the chumhandle point: Dirk is TT and Roxy is TG, whereas pre-Scratch, Dave was TG and Rose was TT. I'm not sure that's really indicative of a gender flip, especially as the two characters who have definitely been gender flipped also have opposite chumhandles, but because they're flipped the gender now matches; that is Jane gets Jade's and Jake gets John's (original version).

But what I really don't get is the reference to personalities: Roxy is very different from Rose, sure, but she's not much like Dave either. And Dirk is actually pretty similar to Dave, because Dave was the pre-Scratch kid shown to be most like his guardian (except that Dirk isn't freaked by puppets, obviously.) I'm probably missing something, but I don't see it.

I have no idea where that came from. I don't agree with it, either, but I didn't touch it because I wasn't sure.

Roxy is pretty similar to Dave. Hero complex, problems with confidence and self-image, emotionally needy, incredibly friendly (once Dave gets over his stoicness). Dirk and Dave aren't really much alike, except for some shared interests. Most of Dave's Dirk-like traits (like trying maintain his badass coolkid persona) are things he mimicked from Bro. Dirk and Rose (especially pre-Act 6 Rose), however, are both aggressively independent even when it would be better to work with someone, intellectually-minded, pretty destructive, tackle problems head-on, think they can handle more than they actually can, prefer to take control of a situation themselves, extremely stubborn in the face of adversity, enjoy subtly messing with peoples' heads, disguise how much they care about people close to them with smug aloofness. I'm sure I could find more examples if I looked.

What order should we have the B2 kids in?

  • Jane-Roxy-Dirk-Jake: corresponding to the B1 kids (also introduction order of B1 counterparts)
  • Jane-Jake-Roxy-Dirk: introduction order
  • Jane-Dirk-Jake-Roxy: server chain order
  • Jane-Dirk-Roxy-Jake: entry order
  • something else
