Okay, so I'm looking through the edit history, and I see that the reason why the top index was removed is because of one specific editor's desire not to have to update every section every time a new subpage is created. For comparison, three editors have placed a full top index on the page (four including myself). The problem with this line of logic is that this inconveniences the reader by making them navigate back to the main page in order to go to a new subpage rather than just being able to click and go, plus every Fire Emblem universe since Tellius has had the top indexes. Other franchises like RWBY, Harry Potter, and even Dragon Ball use the top indexes. The only page I've seen do it with subpages only like this is the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which has 137 subpages (I counted) and is a massive multimedia franchise. Is there any organized argument to why this particular game should be any different, or can we just put it back?

Iirc, I feel like it was added there because not all of the sections were split into subpages at the time, but because I moved Lythos into its own page since it felt a bit unnecessary to leave it on the main index, it's safe to say that we keep the top index in the same format as every other top index. Removing it is unneeded at this point accessibility-wise.

I see the Brother–Sister Incest tag has been added to Alear’s section in regards to male Alear and Veyle? They cited that their Japanese paired ending involves incest?? What’s the exact wording used in script?

EDIT:

The original Japanese text for their paired ending.

Translation from via Google:

“As a partner, [name omitted] led the land of Gradron into a wealthy country and founded an orphanage for disadvantaged children. It is said that a gentle dragon child who grew up there ruled the continent as the two's heirs thousands of years later.”

What do y’all think? It doesn’t explicitly say it’s their child by blood or their descendant. just that they passed on the throne to the child who grew up there. There can be several reasons for this. Considering they ran and orphanage and it’s established with Alear succeeding Lumera as her adoptive child. I assume this ending doesn’t change based on Alear’s gender? Which would make it even more likely that Alear and Veyle didn’t have a child together. Is anyone able to provide a better translation that gives more explicit proof?

Here's this one translated via DeepL if this helps

"The partner led the land of Gradlon into a prosperous country and established an orphanage for underprivileged children......."

Okay so here is a more competent translation(instead of a Google translator or website) from a reddit user u/Lyritha they made an extensive comparison of the localization and the Japanese text for several characters. Alear and Veyle is at the bottom:

https://docs.google.com/document/u/0/d/1U2xFQJhcZazHKdrz1npp3wCk0i193JdOc_HzTMLQcSY/mobilebasic

Lyritha noted that localization made sure to emphasize the familial relationship more likely just to insure that it wouldn’t read as romantic. But the way it translates is still read pretty platonically.

Localization Alear: Yes. It’s for you, Veyle. You’re my dear sister and the person most precious to me.

Translation Alear: I want you to have it, Veyle. As my sibling, and as a precious partner.

Localization Alear: No, not so much replace it…more like symbolize something new─our bond as siblings.

Translation Alear: No, not so much replace it…more like symbolize our new bond…

Localization Alear: But I’m not going anywhere, Veyle. You and I are family, and we’re sticking together.

Translation Alear: I’m not going anywhere anymore, Veyle. I’ll always be with you from now on.

paired ending: Localization Veyle led Gradlon to prosperity and established an orphanage there. Millennia later, an orphan with dragon blood would go on to unify the continent.

Translated (Alear's) partner, Veyle, led Gradlon to prosperity and established an orphanage for disenfranchised children. A kind dragon child who grew up there would go on to succeed the two as ruler of the continent, thousands of years later.

Again it seems “partner” is omitted to ensure there would be no misunderstanding as “partner” could read as both platonic or romantic. I think it’s overall too ambiguous to claim as fact that it’s incest especially since the Pact Ring support reads very platonically in both versions.

Do both Alear and Veyle count as downplayed examples of Informed Species? We only ever see them in human form, yet they both have normal human ears (Veyle has normal human ears if you look closer enough) and not the pointed ones we see on most dragons in human form. The reason I said "downplayed" is because they still possess draconic powers, therefore they still pass off as dragons no matter what.

I don't think there is. There doesn't seem to be anything biological or supernatural that makes fell dragons prone to evil that Alear had to overcome, it seems to be more just a name for their breed of dragon. Even Sombron's evil nature apparently was mostly of his own making.

Heck, strictly speaking Alear wouldn't even be a pure bred fell dragon. Their mother is implied to have been a mage dragon isn't she?

I suppose it depends on how you see it? A Fell Dragon power’s are very dark by nature: powerful dark magic, forcefully raising the dead, being able to forcefully control Emblems. Iirc mentioned by Veyle’s Somniel dialogue her cuffs around her ankles help control her dragonic urges. But she doesn’t need them there because the Divine Dragons power. This all suggests Fell Dragons have a high probability of being evil. That being said being a Fell Dragon doesn’t make you automatically evil. Veyle’s evil side is because of her draconic urges being artificially enhanced by Zephia’s magic and the helm. Nel and the other Fell Dragon are seemingly good people.

Side note: Iirc it wasn’t stated if Alear’s mother was a mage dragon. That was Veyle’s mother. They don’t share the same mother. Alear has met their biological mother but we know is she died. Presumably she was a dragon too, but they don’t specify what kind. Likely so the whole being a Fell/Divine Dragon Hybrid(through Lumera’s essence) isn’t made more confusing by throwing a different breed of dragon in that mix. It seems like whatever kind of hybrid they were before was overwritten by Lumera making them half Divine. It seems like their Emblem ring holds the other half of their Divine Dragon power which allows them to temporarily become a full Divine Dragon. Perhaps Alear had these draconic urges Veyle still has to supress but doesn’t anymore by virtue of being half Divine.

Anyway I think it doesn’t really have to do with being a hybrid or full blooded anyway. Fell Dragons have a lot in their nature that kinda inclines them to being evil but doesn’t mean they are compelled to be evil they have to actively make that choice I think.
