This seems to have been dropped, but I agree with Gagaga_Madness. Pages for other installments of the YGO franchise use the characters' Japanese names, and even instruct tropers not to use the dub names because that's what Dub Name Change is for. We should either use the original names for GX characters or institute this policy across all YGO series.

The current page quote is the catchphrase for dub Judai. Most of the page is using Japanese names and events, so I'm not sure why we're quoting the dub. Does anyone have any suggestions for a more suitable quote from the Japanese version? The dub issue aside, the given quote tells you nothing about the series whatsoever, which is sort of the point of a page quote, isn't it?

Its made worse by the fact that I don't even know half the Japanese names at all. I managed to pick up most of the original series' japanese names, but i'm new to this series and i'm watching the dub, so its quite confusing.
The "Dub Name Change" Trope that's listed on the page covers literally every character whose name was changed. Is that not enough?
We're an English wiki. If there is an English release, it is policy to use it over the original one.

Given that the edits to YGO tend to be pretty significant, would it be alright to retain the events that the Japanese version used, but still note the dub changes? In other words, dub names, but Japanese version events?

yeah I think we should just stick to original names unless we're referring to the dub version. Let's not forget that 4kids actually skipped over a whole season in the dub (in addition to editing a bunch of stuff) so its impossible to use completely dub names anyway.
the sailor moon tv tropes page uses japanese names over dub names, for both anime and manga. Even well before Kondasha rereleased the manga retaining the original japanese names. So I don't see the issue.
I think if they have a dub name they should use the dub name. Speaking of which there's some seriously inconsistent stuff going on regarding the names.

Why did this page change to dub names? The pages for Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds and Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL use the original names.
This is highly inconsistent.
