Considering how happily (for better or worse) the series ended up and how straight a ton of tropes were played in later arcs, how much of the deconstruction and reality ensues stuff is applicable in light of the final arcs? It seems closer to a decon-recon switch to me, and I remember seeing people complaining when Yuya DID cause Heel Face Turns en masse and won duels regularly because before he didn't.
The Protomen enhanced my life.I've asked this in the Wham Episode page but I would like to ask again, should we leave the spoilers unmarked or not?
Maybe it would be for the better if we had a separated page for the Wham Episode trope because the list is getting way too long (and really other shows are given Wham pages for much less entries) and let's be honest there are more of them on the way; on that topic, the Deconstruction tropes will probably just keep coming as well, so another page for that would be nice too so it doesn't look jumbled in the main page.
Hide / Show RepliesI'm all for it though I wonder if the Reconstruction should with the Destruction trope or not.
I'm not sure if it would, since both tropes are cyclic (there can't be a reconstruction if there was no deconstruction first) not to mention that Reconstruction is listed as a subtrope...so I guess it would be fine.
Do you guys think we should add a Mythology Gag, Destruction and Reconstruction page?
Hide / Show RepliesI think we can add a Mythology Gag page. I can do it.
If there's a way to do both Decon/Recon in one page since they're so heavily intertwined here, I think it would be good?
I copied things over to the new page. We now have so many pages that we have a "More" dropdown for And The Fandom Rejoiced, Ship Tease, and Mythology Gag.
Do you think we should divide the page into folders. Its getting pretty big
Hide / Show RepliesUh, yeah, folderize this.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI'll say yes. Not sure if we need to divide it into three or four folders.
EDIT: I decided to go with four.
Edited by ABE.CrudeleIf we're going with official spellings for most other things, are people really that opposed to switching to official spellings for Yuto (Ute), Yugo (Hugo), Yuri (Joeri), Reira (Layra), and Shun (Syun)? And any other I may have forgotten to list?
Granted, Roget for Roger is probably an easier switch to make.
Edited by illusion_dreamer Hide / Show RepliesOthers are Shuzo (Syuzo) and Yusho (Yusyo).
As for the official (romaji) spellings, I have mixed feelings about it. For the h/y, I don't mind since they are spelling variations. Everything else just rubs me the wrong way except for Roget since he has a French name.
If we're to go by the most common spelling, Roger is probably preferable over Roget, especially since we're not using official spellings for all cases. The fandom has already formed a habit to use "Roger" as their preferred spelling, and as far as I can gauge, very few people intend to use "Roget" as a replacement. I would personally be in favor of reverting to "Roger" here for that reason.
I'd like to point out that the argument that "Roget is a french name while Roger isn't" is false. There have been several french people with Roger as a surname.
Ah, I see. Thanks, Phantom. So do we go with Roger or Roget? I'm fine either way.
Once the manga by Moyashi comes out, do we create a manga page for it? For the previews alone, it seems that it's going to have a whole different story and plot.
Hide / Show RepliesThe manga's storyline is vastly different indeed. Unfortunately, I'm a bit confused about the editor and I lack tropes aside from Adaptional Badass to fill a possible manga page with. But we should create one, I think.
I'll try to create a page for it and use the synopsis as content so we can have something to start with.
Edit: Okay, I got it done and it is ready for editing.

I'm a little confused: what's Reira/Riley's gender, exactly? Is it ever confirmed? Considering the page seems to use both he/him and she/her pronouns for them.
