Anywhere that I can find this series? Internet, stores, anywhere?
Hide / Show RepliesFor the United States, the best option at this point is a store that sells used DVDs; Lain has been out-of-print for about four years now, though it has been relicensed by Funimation and might be re-released in the near future.
Edited by musashi1600Just a heads' up: Funimation did indeed give it a very nice re-release, with a DVD/Blu-Ray bundle and included (quite extensive) art book that also has commentary. So if you want to own a physical copy it shouldn't be too hard to find any more.
Voice actors shouldn't be listed as tropes, but this still may be worth noting:
- Kaori Shimizu: Her debut role as Lain. Which may also affect her being a Kuudere.
- She also contributed her body parts to the live action "Devices" segment at the end of each show.
Gotta say, this is probably amongst the best intros I've seen for a TVT page. Well done.
I was wondering. Is the "present day, present time" in the dub only? It's just I've seen two version of it - one with japanese writing and one with roman letters, so...
Hide / Show RepliesIf you mean the voice, it is the same in the original.(Creepy as hell though.) However, if you mean the writing, I can't help you.
Removed from main page, as there is a cleanup effort on GIFT underway and I am not sure what to do with this entry:
- GIFT: Multiple times in the Wired. Most of these people can only form eyes, ears, and mouths, and one was given the nickname "Cheshire Cat" by Lain.
