There's got to be a trope for this exchange, found towards the end of "The Fateful Night! The Agony of the Sailor Senshi" (Ep 170):
Mars: Oh dear, Usagi would have listened to me. Neptune: You two are good friends, just like Uranus and me. Mars: Please don't think we're like that!
Ominous Violin Music - watching Season 1 at the moment, and couldn't help noticing the "evil at work" theme, which is rather obviously based on (but not the same as) the opening notes of Bach's Tocatta and Fugue in Dm... Haven't watched enough to see if it crops up after the Dark Kingdom arc, but might be worth a mention...
Here's a question I've been meaning to ask:
If Minako is The Lancer in the Manga instead of Rei, what role does Rei? Is she The Chick or does she share The Big Guy role with Makoto?
As the series is over 25 years old at this point, I would like to propose removing spoiler tags on this page given how long the series has had an impact on pop culture and instead warn the reader that all spoilers are unmarked. Thoughts?
