In the English dub, Kodai says that "You don't want to hurt the Zorua you love like it was your own?" making it even more blatant that Zorua is adopted. But it doesn't really matter.

Where is it stated Zorua is adopted? The closest I can think of is Kodai saying something to the effect of "is Zorua that important to you?", which seems like it could also be as simply a test of Zoroark's parental resolve.
