The ladder of heaven key, not the weapon, but the key itself, does anyone know what trope that would fall under? Thank you.

Need more details, sorry. Also, you might have more luck on the Trope Finder.

  • Super Drowning Skills: Ledo in episode 6, who manages to sink while inside a Yunboroid. To be fair, in space, water was probably an important and rare commodity like oxygen, so its likely he was never taught to swim since he wouldn't need that skill in order to fight the Hideauze up there.

I don't think this justification is valid. Navigation in a zero-g environment (i.e. space, which Ledo should have been doing most his life) is similar to swimming. In real life, all astronauts can swim, and underwater exercises are used as training for space-faring. If an individual can adapt to both space exploration and life on earth, they should understand the principles of swimming and navigation in water should be trivial. Unless Ledo is specified to spend all his time in space under artificial gravity, his prior experience means he should be able to swim.

This does not address his skill at using other robots to swim, but Bellows and Pinion specifically refer to Ledo himself as not being able to swim.

So for the sake of consistency, which translation's spellings of names are we going to use? Crunchyroll's? Some other group's? Best to take care of this now before. Things like the many interpretations of Ledo's name and Lukkage vs. Rackage shouldn't be mixed throughout the list...

Crunchy's are official, so we should probably use those.

I usually use Crunchy's; people are mainly using the "Ledo" variant anyway.

The D stands for Destiny ✰ Rosa Metalglove Dickpuncher (also I just got it from Vampire Hunter D).
