Some of the tropes in this index do allow real life examples, but there are also tropes which its very nature precludes the possibility of a "Real Life" folder or subpage, so the warning is not really necessary.

If these articles should only be potholed in reference to in-universe examples, then I don't think Complaining about Shows You Don't Watch has ever been potholed correctly anywhere on the site.

Well do a wick check. If there are a lot to be fixed, make a trope repair or special efforts thread.

Are there any exemptions for applying tropes to ourselves on our profile pages? Even in a Self-Deprecation sort of way?

Recently, Scandal Gate and Not So Different were removed of the page and the following was added to the description: "Note that real life examples are still permitted in this category as well unless stated otherwise"
