Removed from main page, as there is a cleanup effort on GIFT underway and I am not sure what to do with this entry:

  • GIFT - "Greater Internet Fuckwad Theory", which would have the same problem as BFS

"Acronym" means a word formed by the initial letters of a phrase, like "radar", "snafu", "laser", "scuba". (If you sound out the letters, it's just an abbreviation.) Most of the examples on this page are not acronyms.
