Such that when we played crystal, trainer red at the end had zapdos etc instead of pikachu and co. Does that make that win illegitimate? If the streamer were to put in a future TPP (say Black 2 and White ) a world tournament with guests player characters from previous installments, we would expect the fire red hack team to be on the same stage with the legal emerald team with all their abilities and attacks retained.

I understand what you\'re saying but that\'s assuming this would be a character page for say the main franchise Franchise/Pokemon as opposed to a specific social experiment / fanwork / emulated LetsPlay/TwitchPlaysPokemon which considering all the other rules and lore the community has invented its really its own alternate universe.
