But since he generally drops out of sight for twenty or thirty years between his major appearances, those people old enough to remember the old herbman named Nevyn from his previous appearance refuse to believe that the shabby old herbman named Nevyn who just rode into town could possibly be the same man. Those people who notice the multiple Nevyns across history assume the name is inherited (whether from father to son or master to apprentice is debated).\\\"

And he\\\'s seen to actively encourage both misconceptions of \\\'inheriting\\\' the name, and often to be highly amused by people\\\'s reaction to the (perceived) situation. He also won\\\'t revisit certain areas earlier then thirty years or so unless he \\\'\\\'has\\\'\\\' to, and prefers to send a fellow dweomer master if possible. (His fellow practitioners, of course, know exactly what\\\'s up.)
