Well the Codex is out, and it pretty much outright contradicts the information in the 3rd edition codex. For example the exact reasons for the War In Heaven (give the Necrontyr empires something to fight against to unite the previously squabbling dynasties), as well as to why the Necrons went dormant for 60+ million years (no longer the Enslavers, the Silent King orders all the necrons to go dormant and wait out the Eldar). I foresee a slow wave of edits over the next few weeks...

And that\\\'s not the end of it. It\\\'s the usual Wardian carte blanche change to the background, so I\\\'m not sure why we should even be surprised at this point...
