On Maliketh \\\"having the flu\\\", I really must disagree. I don\\\'t think there\\\'s any indication that he\\\'s even a little bit weaker. If anything he\\\'s stronger than ever.

First, Malekith with the Rune of Death in any capacity already represents an abnormally powered-up Malekith. His natural power is basically Gurranq, i.e. no real challenge to a late-game Tarnished or any other late-game boss. So right out the gate, any \\\"flu\\\" would be a nerf for his weapon, not a nerf for him, as wielding any part of the Rune of Death already constitutes a big boost.

Second, while it seems to have been asserted here, the idea that consuming the Rune of Death into his body made him weaker appears to be entirely fabricated. Nothing in the game indicates this. Not only is it a fabrication, it\\\'s an illogical fabrication. In every other case that we see, embedding a Great Rune within your flesh makes you \\\'\\\'stronger,\\\'\\\' either by empowering you across the board (e.g. Godrick\\\'s all-around stat booster) or by granting you special abilities (e.g. Malenia\\\'s healing effect). The Rune of Death definitely made Malekith perpetually hungry, but that seems to be it? He\\\'s still using complex incantations and acrobatics, so it\\\'s not like it affected his combat skill any either. He wasn\\\'t the only one implied to be mentally affected by his Great Rune either (\\\"the mad taint of their newfound strength triggered the Shattering\\\"), but no one\\\'s pretending that made the other demigods weaker.

Third, the description of Maliketh\\\'s Black Blade. The description says \\\"Maliketh\\\'s black Blade which once harbored the power of the Rune of Death. A sad shadow of its former glory.\\\" This page seems to have taken this as a sign that the blade he uses against you is way weaker than the one he had prior. But that\\\'s not what the description says. It says it\\\'s weaker than it used to be \\\'\\\'now\\\'\\\', because \\\'\\\'it no longer harbors the Rune of Death.\\\'\\\' Why? Because you \\\'\\\'used the Rune of Death to burn down the Erdtree, by taking it from Malekith\\\'\\\'. The version he used against you should be at full power, or at most \\\'\\\'slightly\\\'\\\' reduced from the \\\"fragment\\\" that Ranni took (which was only enough to enchant some small knives).
