In the case of multi-medium franchise examples, the rule of thumb is to favor the original medium, which is a visual novel. So, for example, Star Wars examples tend to favor the Film — Live-Action placement unless they're specific to an EU work.
ETA: Actually, looking at the work page in question, it appears that the primary source for the fic is Fate/Grand Order, which means it very definitely goes under Video Games.
I just discovered the Series Fic page (which seems to be something between a trope and an index), and the examples are separated by the type of source material (comic, crossover, videogames, etc).
Well, I wanted to add Fanfic.Servant Shenanigans on that list, but the issue is that it's a Franchise.Fate Series fic. The issue with the Fate Series (and Nasuverse) is that they're made up of MANY different media. The fic I mentioned has a book, a videogame, and the anime adaptation if a segment of a visual novel as its source material. Even though they're all part of the same franchise.
Where do I place this!?
Mind you, this is hardly the only time Nasuverse causes issues with placing examples. I remember posting another ATT over finding videogame examples in the anime page because of this mess (because all Nasuverse-related animes are adaptations of many other forms of media, and then someone decided to expand on THOSE) and overall I have no idea what a permanent solution would be.
In short: where do we list franchise-wide Nasuverse and Fate Series examples, when the franchise covers five forms of media on top of my head?
