Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread

Because their definitions differ, and as a wiki, "one trope, one page" makes more sense than lumping everything together and creating a mess for the examples.
Unless you mean making them an index, but we already have Protagonist Tropes and Antagonist Tropes.
Edited by Amonimus TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupIt also makes it less confusing, as such large indexes would make the tropes seem like, well... not valid tropes.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessI'm going to need an explanation on that @War Jay. Why would a large index make the tropes within the index be less valid?
It wouldn't, but people may get confused about if they're tropes or indexes or def-only or what. It wouldn't be the first time such an index caused confusion from either angle.
Edited by WarJay77 Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessThe Protagonist is a trope.
Protagonist Tropes is a list of tropes relating to protagonists.
They are separate things. Tropes don't "have" tropes the way works do.
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing.Gotcha.
Is there a reason why The Protagonist and The Antagonist has their tropes listed on different pages? Why not have them be part of the same page as the definition or an index?
