Because their definitions differ, and as a wiki, "one trope, one page" makes more sense than lumping everything together and creating a mess for the examples.

Unless you mean making them an index, but we already have Protagonist Tropes and Antagonist Tropes.

It also makes it less confusing, as such large indexes would make the tropes seem like, well... not valid tropes.

I'm going to need an explanation on that @War Jay. Why would a large index make the tropes within the index be less valid?

It wouldn't, but people may get confused about if they're tropes or indexes or def-only or what. It wouldn't be the first time such an index caused confusion from either angle.

The Protagonist is a trope.

Protagonist Tropes is a list of tropes relating to protagonists.

They are separate things. Tropes don't "have" tropes the way works do.

Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing.
