Seems like a locale version of The Main Characters Do Everything.
I’m not sure if there even is a trope for that.

Might be valid to pursue in the TLP as this seems to happen in other works focused on a particular setting as well. For example, in The Office (US), characters end up doing things at work they'd be far more likely to do at home, like Jim and Pam doing their Christmas gift exchange. Similar for events on IASIP happening at Paddy's Pub or Parks and Rec happening at the Parks and Rec office.
