openShort anthology horror series Live Action TV
So there’s a man and he’s sitting at his desk in his room on his laptop and he gets an email from anonymous and the email is a picture of his house from across the street. He keeps getting these emails and the pictures keep getting closer to his house, the last picture is from behind him. It’s night time and the lights were off in his room, the only light was from his laptop and a streetlight just outside his window. His desk was in front of his window and the door was directly behind him, there was also a bed to his right. Across the road there was a bus stop that was one of the ones with a shelter and a bench.
What I know : - around 2016-2019 - 99% sure it was British - it was not a well known show and I don’t think it was popular -pretty sure it only had 1 or 2 seasons - the episodes were very short - it was an anthology series -it was real life, not animated - the opening was the outside of an old timey theatre with the name of the show - I only remember that one episode - it was on normal tv not Netflix or anything - I have been trying to find this for months and I’ve googled everything. - i know I didn’t imagine it because my brother remembers it too but he can’t find it either

open(not sure) Live Action TV
This was a Japanese psychological horror/thriller series on Hulu a long time ago. Possibly the director or writer was someone famous, or it was based on a famous work? Each episode focused on a different character whose stories all interconnected. Overall tone of the show was very understated. One specific episode featured a woman who was being kept as a "living doll" by an abusive creepy guy. The subject of at least one episode was a wedding.
openComedy Tv show (Uk I think) that I’m trying to figure out Live Action TV
There is a rant in this sitcom where one of the characters says “that we all know wasn’t funny the first time!”
Any help would be much appreciated!
openGuy says "that would be ridiculous" with a lisp Live Action TV
Alright, this is random as hell and not very specific at all but it popped into my head last night and it's driving me crazy that I can't figure out what it is.
It's definitely live action, I think TV, and made in the last 10ish years. I don't remember what it is or any of the context, all I remember is a white middle aged man (I think he's bald) with a lisp saying "hi kids!" and something like "that's ridiculous" or "that would be ridiculous". But he says "ridic-oh-luss" not "ridic-you-luss". And he has a slight southern accent I think. I was trying to remember any details, any at all, but all I know is that he was talking to kids. I can't even remember if there were any kids there or if he was directly addressing the audience. I think it wasn't a straight forward kids show, it was a parody of kids shows or something? This is so vague, I'm sorry, but if anyone has any ideas please let me know.
openCouple move into mansion looking for hidden money Live Action TV
I think it was a serialized series, kinda like "Amazing Stories" with the twist ending. Set in the 1800's, a young couple move into a mansion owned by a grumpy old man after hearing rumours about him hiding his fortune somewhere on the property - buried in the fields. They take jobs as maid and butler and while working, search away. Unsuccessful, the husband devises a plan for his wife to become "cozy" with the old, ugly man, against her wishes. At first, she is disgusted, but after a while she begins to enjoy it and slowly starts to pull away from her husband and get closer to the old man. I think her and the old man then decide to leave, leaving the husband all alone. The last scene is him digging in the field, with the background showing numerous holes dug.
openAN OLD "EGYPTIAN" SHOW I WAS SHOWN IN SCHOOL AS A KID Live Action TV
There was an Egyptian cat which taught a couple of kids about ancient Egypt. I think the cat was either black or mummified looking. I think it was on VHS so it must be quite old. I think the cat was summoned after the kids discovered an artefact or something.
openNo Title Live Action TV
I remember a show from my childhood so late 90's to early 2000's. The show was about a boy who gains psychic powers. He uses his powers by putting his fingers on his temples and starts humming. This does him more harm than good because now a creature is pursuing him (probably to kill him). That creature is just a dude with long black hair and a creepy white face. The series had continuity and plot. The plot was focused on the boy to learn how to control his powers, to ultimately get rid of his powers (climax) and to get away from the creature. Another important character was his mentor/teacher. He created his teacher himself by bringing a character from a card game he played to life. This guy was some alien dude with a purple suit (probably) and a green face/skin (probably) and he was completely CGI (definitely). He also didn't talk but rather make weird noises. I remember one earlier episode in particular where the creature steals a Van and goes on a rampage. The boy stops him by turning the steering wheel into rubber or cloth and sets the tires on fire (all with his powers). I could not make this up.
The show might not be american so i doubt many people are even aware of it. It might me Australian like Spellbinder (we've got a lot of these shows translated over here) or it might be a European co production of some countries.
Edited by Voltreyopen90's (?) TV series Live Action TV
Trying to find an old TV show with a scifi vibe that I vaguely remember from my childhood, something about a boy who had a problem and had to master some sort of power which was like levitating and creating sparks around himself. There was also a sort of robotic (but human) character with green hair and their name was something like ion, or yon. Saw this on Polish tv but I think its an American show.
openToxic waste in lake, a boy ate a dead fish Live Action TV
I remember something about a Corrupt Corporate Executive posing as a recycling service for toxic waste but actually hiding the waste in a cave with a camouflaged entrance. Unfortunately the cave is connected to a nearby lake, and an accident causes some waste to be dumped into it.
Alas, no idea about the name, nor any name in the series. But given the French TV channel that showed it and the years (about the same as Mirror, Mirror, The Girl from Tomorrow etc), it has a high chance of being Australian / New Zealish.
I also remember some more precise events: At one point a boy falls ill after eating a fish from the poisoned lake; and near the end of the series the villains attempt to blow up the cave, unaware that two good guys sneaked inside. They disable some of the explosives, which the villain notices after hearing too few explosions.
Edited by MedinocopenEducational video about emotions with fairy tales and horses? Live Action TV
I’m looking for a old live-action video that was probably shown during emotional intelligence classes in grade school. I saw it around 1994, when I was in about 3rd Grade or so. Might have been before or after that, and it was probably made in the 90s, but possibly in the 80s. Probably wasn’t any later than the late 80s.It had enough production value in it that it wasn't just something my school had made. Some educational outfit or PBS or something made it. It was somewhere between a PBS show and Shelley Du Vall's Fairy Tale Theater for production values.
It was a live action movie miniseries. It was about this girl who traveled to another world. Kind of like Alice in Wonderland. Unfortunately, I don't remember anything about the actual magical land. It might have just been a different version of Wonderland or a generic fairy tale land as far as I remember. She might have been visiting different fairy tales.
She had this magic amulet or medallion or talisman or locket which was…kind of a glorified mood ring? I think this amulet basically just showed what emotion she was feeling, but it also might have amplified it? It might have been a literal Emotional or Moral Compass. I seem to remember this necklace thing was round.
The story was all about learning about emotions. Like anger, happiness, etc. I think there was some sort of villain trying to stop her getting home, but I might be remembering wrong. Also...maybe it had dwarves or some other fantasy creature in it. It's possible it was Rumplestilskin. I might just be making that part up, it's been so long.
And…I remember horses? Like a herd of horses just running across a field. I think they were magic horses that were…advising her somehow? Or maybe she was supposed to save this herd of magic horses? They were most likely a metaphor for something. Maybe Wild Horses, since that seem to be a common metaphor when talking about emotions, apparently. Wild stallions? Ponies?
It might have been on laserdisc. Or some other ancient educational 90s disc format. I remember the school had a laserdisc player back then. Or maybe it was simply on VHS, I can't remember one way or another very clearly. And the video was either one long movie broken into different parts, to be shown on different days or maybe it was a series of episodes? I can't remember how long each "episode" was, but I remember there were parts that were "to be continued".
I know this is pretty vague, and old education videos are probably even harder to track down than other forms of media, but thanks for any help. This has been haunting me for some reason. And, yes, I'm aware this sounds like the 80s My Little Pony, but I distinctly remember it being live action.
openNo Title Live Action TV
I'm trying to remember an educational TV series from the 90s, most likely direct to video.
It has a similar vibe to DK Eyewitness, in that all the shots I can remember are in a similar green-screen/digital all white environment. I think it was to show kids crafts and possibly science experiments? And I think there were either very few or no words/dialogue. Just 90s soothing elevator music in the background with shots of the steps for making/doing the thing. The table that the activities were done on was all white too, and again, very digital looking with no edges or anything. And all the shots were either closeups of the activity materials/person's hands/arms/body, but I don't think you ever saw their face. I want to say there was an accompanying book series, maybe?
Anyone have any ideas?
openUnknown Horror Anthology Series Live Action TV
Ok, so what I remember from this is the episode revolved around a NYC (I think) coroner, or medical examiner, who identifies bodies for the police, I believe. And he lives alone in this big apartment, but every time he comes home he hears his neighbors arguing, and one night the woman comes to his door very distraught and he lets her in and they end up getting to know each other and have a passionate love affair (over the course of a few weeks, not just one day), and he keeps coming home and hearing her argue with her boyfriend, or husband, and then she keeps coming over for help and he is like acting as her protector or something, and finally he can't hear her arguing anymore, she stops coming around, and he gets the landlord to open the apartment, but he tells him it's empty, and opens it anyway, and it is empty. So guy is confused now, and doesn't know what is going on, then the next day he find the woman's body has shown up in the morgue or wherever the bodies go that need identifying, and that's about it. Creepy twist. The show, I'm very certain, is a horror anthology show in which each episode is its own story, but it might also have been split with another episode. It's too slow and drawn out to be something like Tales from the Crypt. I think the time frame for its release was between the late 90's and 2010's sometime, but I am only guessing because I don't remember if there were any smart phones in it.
open[solved] Detective Crime Show Live Action TV
So I watched only a little bit of this show before I couldn't find it anymore and I have no clue what it was called. I don't think it was in English I think it was a subbed show on Netflix that they don't have anymore. But the first episode is this girl in the police academy in order to solve this murder is paired up with this man that is able to think exactly like a serial killer and recreates the entire scene in his head. There is a teacher in the academy that is always pushing for him to stop working on this kind of thing because it is really bad for him mentality but this guy in idk if he a police officer or something else but he keeps pushing him to continue. If anyone has any ideas please let me know! Been trying to remember for like 4 years now.

I only remember 1 episode of the show.
It was a group of murderers that after murdering someone, they extract the fluids in the brain and inject to themselves, so they could re-live the death experience, being it the ultimate experience.
The episode ends when one of the murderers was caught and imprisoned, and he (or she, I don't remember) commited suicide, not because he wanted to end his life, but because he was so addicted to the sensation of death.
That's all I can remember.
openCar impounded at garage with trans woman Live Action TV
Fifteen/Twenty-so years ago, I remember seeing a scene where a man goes in a garage (named "(name) and Sons") to retrieve his impounded car. The two main points of the scene were:
- One of the "and Sons" was a trans woman; at some point she's seen repainting the garage's sign to "(name) and Co." — Given how old this was, the portrayal may not have been respectful (IIRC it was kind of played for laughs).
- She was manning the desk when the car's owner came in. Since the impound fee was more than the car was worth, and the car would be auctioned off if he didn't pay, the owner decided to let the car be auctioned off and buy it then. She let him sign the form before pointing to the (big, hard-to-miss) sign that says "IT IS ILLEGAL TO BUY YOUR OWN CAR IN AN AUCTION". The owner then asks his friend to straw-purchase it.
open80s British horror/possession TV (mini?) series/film Live Action TV
Suggested I should post this here.
Right! A little obscure here. 80's British TV show/mini-series/film about a possessed teenage girl. Set in a pretty normal urban British household. Myself and my sister both remember so I know I didn't dream it 😁. I only really remember one scene, the mother comes into the bedroom and the daughter is twisted into a weird pose with a scissors stuck in her shoulder/chest/clavicle. It's wrecking our heads for years here as all both of us can remember is that scene. I've tried many different Google searches and come up with nothing.
I know it's not: Hammer House of Horror/Mystery, Tales of the Unexpected, Dramarama, Ghostwatch, Moondial, Dead of Night.
Cheers
openPSA about elder abuse Live Action TV
I remember seeing a series of 3 PSA on elder abandonment a while ago, but I can't find them anymore.
The first one has a cheery song playing in the background while a homeless elderly man goes about his day. The tagline is "He has reasons to be optimistic, his life can't get any worse."
I can't remember much about the second one, other than that it's an old lady and the tagline is something like "She'll live another ten years, fewer, if she's lucky."
The third one's tagline is something like "Many elderly people suffer from memory problems, their families forget they exist."
Ok so I think I watched this show on netflix but I cant find it in any records. It was about 3, maybe 4 adults. Either English or Irish I think. That investigated paranormal and absurd claims to find the truth behind them. One episode had them proving that ghost lanterns were just owls, and another had them trying to solve the sighting of a black panther. I think it was 2 dudes and a woman, and they worked out of an RV. The film wasnt amazing so early 2000s I'd guess. There was another episodes about deer in a gilf course and one about foxes being mostaken for demons i think. Also one about boars and ine about chupacabra. And at the end of each episode, theyd make like a powerpoint compilling evidence to show the locals and let them decide whether they thought it was paranormal or not.
