Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup threadto 1.2
I belong to neither Heaven nor Hell. I am a woman self-possessed.The issue I see from 1.2 is that I don't see how exactly he is more professional than The Gambler.
Where is the income? That's kind of important since the trope is "guy gambles and that's his main source of dosh".

Original the Signature. Do not steal. The Gambler is a trope about a character having a gambling theme in their fighting style while Professional Gambler is someone who gambles for a livingnote . It's not "the Professional Gambler makes more money than The Gambler".
I mean, yes, but I do have to agree that the suggestions aren't all that clear on "gambles for a living". I don't think I brought it up, but I was concerned about such when The Gambler was being discussed previously. Perhaps you could argue that their fancy dress indicates their wealth, but I'm still a little reluctant.

back lolWhich is a problem because the image does not show he does this for a living, which means earning money. That's the point. It's the first sentence of the page:
"Someone whose primary source of income is gambling"
He could be doing this for fun or challenge for all I know. That's not being a pro.

Bigotry will NEVER be welcome on TV Tropes.13 is a rather unique take of the trope. I like it.

Not fond of Current, it's not from a work and the background is so busy it distracts from the gambler and his playing cards (which are barely visible). When we had the thread for The Gambler two months ago this pic from Casino Royale (2006) was suggested:
But I waited so long to make this thread because I was waiting for better pics of this guy to come out:
