Odd TV Tropes confessions

Spun off the main odd confessions thread; this thread is for odd confessions related to TV Tropes itself.

Huh? Mandela Effect isn't NRLEP.

I didn't delete the entire real life section — just the examples that trope real people.

I'm still not sure if that was necessary since there's a lot of gray area in that regard, but this isn't a cleanup thread, so I'll shut up.

The name "Isolated Pages" makes me think it refers to pages that don't have a lot of wicks, like they're isolated from other pages.

I was of the "Tropes are clichés, clichés are bad, thus tropes are bad" mentality in the earliest days I was here, that I got a bit peeved looking at the work page of my favourite show, but to this day I don't solidly know why I had that mentality.

I only made an account to use YKTS, then I would wander the site as I waited for responses and learned more about tropes and the site. Now the above mentioned work page is one of my main Entry Pimp targets lol.

I avoid posting in the Weird dreams thread because I'm embarrassed to share weird dreams.

I've misinterpreted various forum games and posted on them without reading the game rules first, now there's about a handful of threads I'm afraid to ever check again.

I keep TV Tropes zoomed in at 125% on my browser because I think the text is too small at the normal size.

I saw Uncle from Another World in the new edits thing on the frontpage and for a second I thought it was a trope. "Hm, that's a weirdly specific- oh."

9 times out of ten I'm not interested in the real life section of a trope.

Dunno what it says about me that I can make a viable article just by reading summaries of a work (I ain't watching the Austen travesty that was Persuasion (2022) but I made a page for it anyway)...

For years, before making a TV Tropes account, I was under the impression that if a fanfiction had a tropes page, that implied that it had some sort of notability within the original work's respective fandom.

I used to think The Dragon referred to a literal dragon.

If one of my videos gets a rating below 4.5, I delete it.

I draft a lot of stuff for tvtropes including forum posts and edit reasons in a private discord server because my sandbox for work page drafts.

I feel irrationally guilty if I make an edit to a page with a lot of obvious problems but don't have the time to fix said problems. It happens a lot with crosswicking and wick cleaning.

I literally haven't edited anything

I don't plan to in the future either I'm here for the community

I look at how much more editing other users have done and feel jealous, but simultaneously don't have that much desire to edit at a different rate than I do.

god, me too. a lot of the time ill make a little fix on a page with a lot of problems and just... run away from the rest of it

I'm not good at writing examples so I just edit spelling and grammar and punctuation.

I don't add a notice about zero-context examples unless I am sure I commented out all of them.

I never go on TLP (I only go on very rare occasions) so I'm completely in the dark whenever people talk about it in threads like the Observations You've Made thread.

I feel like this is for the better.

I'd like to add images to moments pages for some works but I can never figure out ideas that aren't, like, blatant spoilers in one way or another (especially for Awesome/ and Nightmare Fuel/).

x8: Same, while I'll fix typos and wrong markup where I see them, I don't always have the time or energy to fix every ZCE, or am not sure how to best rewrite them right away.
