Tropes I do NOT like
- All Just a Dream: Kinda situational. If a one-off tragedy happens to a character and they wake up from it, it's okay, but if the character's whole adventure was all for nothing it's just a waste of a plot.
- Black-and-White Morality: I don't hate it, but it's kinda boring. Morally grey characters are usually more interesting and realistic. Good people can have flaws and bad people can have good qualities.
- Cannot Spit It Out: Just say the plot crucial thing already, it's not that hard!
- Eye Scream: I can handle all kinds of blood and violence, but this is where I draw the line... It hurts just to look at it.
- Girl on Girl Is Hot: When aimed at men. The whole point of being a lesbian is NOT being attracted to men; which means we're not gonna participate in your fantasies.
- Hollywood Autism: neurotypicals stop writing autistic characters without doing actual research challenge (impossible)
- Poor Communication Kills: I hate it when all these bad things happen just because someone didn't want to listen. All of this unnecessary tension could've been avoided if you didn't jump to conclusions.
- Potty Emergency: It gives me second-hand embarrassment.
- "Shaggy Dog" Story and Shoot the Shaggy Dog: What a great way to waste a perfectly good plot.
- "Stop Having Fun" Guys: Mostly in real life.
- Wheelchair Woobie: It's a shitty way to add cheap sympathy to a story. Disabled people can stand up for themselves. They don't exist for you to pity them.
