My problem is that they are still for most part the same characters and are meant to be the same characters. If we split them we should do the same with everything else. Or we don't split them. It makes no sense to do that with the Spider-man characters but then do something else with the X-Men. Plus, Venom was clearly meant to be the same guy from his films.

Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup threadTeeeeccccchhhhiiinncccaaallllyyyy, Venom and Eddie Brock also count as continuations, not variants.
I’m on the don’t split folders side though. Tropes for characters from other franchises and series should be under one section, not split across pages with tropes based only on their appearances there. Unless they count as different characters.
It's gonna be fun on the bun!Yeah, it'd be easy to just to make one big character folder and list their variant folders underneath, like we do with the What If variants.
Trust no one.In that case we should do the same with the Spider-man stuff. Besides the Green Goblin as he has his own MCU page.
Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup threadI'll look into that later. Currently making dinner.
Trust no one. What do you guys think of the Avengers family sandbox that could fold the Stark Family and Pym Family pages into one and get some bytes off the Allies page?
Looks good to me
Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup threadDitto.
Also Deadpool has been returned to X-Men Film Series: Deadpool, and all the links are fixed.
It's gonna be fun on the bun! That’s 3 in favor
I've decided to make a sandbox for the Raimi trilogy's Otto Octavius here. I think the byte check is okay (the page is about about 71,000 or so), but just wanted a second set of eyes and/or some feedback.
Trust no one.Your Avengers Family page looks mostly fine to me, I just have a few points to make:
- Why didn't you add Uncle Ben for Peter Parker's Family? He has a folder in the MCU: Citizens – New York City page.
- I agree that some characters like Frigga and Bor are more associated with Asgard, or that She-Hulk and Stature are Other Superheroes first and foremost, but shouldn't the characters that are on the Citizen pages (like Hawkeye's children, Wanda's parents, Maggie Lang, Sarah Wilson, etc...) be moved to this page?
Personally, I don't think having both the Spider-Man 2 version and the No Way Home version of the character on the same page is such a good idea, especially since they have many tropes in common (thus making them redundant).
I was just trying to combine the two incarnations together for consistency, as it was discussed earlier that it's a little odd separating the two versions of the character when compared to Deadpool, Wolverine and Venom.
Trust no one.I'm still pro merging variants, it makes it easier to navigate pages.
It's gonna be fun on the bun!@Mimic 45 good observation. I’ll add a folder of it to that page when I make it. Would it be preferable to relocate him to the page itself or just post a link directing it to MCU: Citizens – New York City in that folder?
Also, should we unmark Deadpool 2 spoilers now because it’s almost 6 years now

Personally, I think you should relocate most of the characters from the Citizens page to your Avengers Family page. The Citizens page are long and full of minor characters no one cares about, making it hard for people to find the characters they're actually interested in. Having the Avengers' relatives on the Avengers Family page would make things easier.

I've just updated the Avengers – Family Members page. I haven't added Thor's family since we haven't counted any of the Asgardians as his allies and this seems consistent with that decision.

You forgot Uncle Ben.
@Matthew Wayne for the Otto Octavius's merged page.
So, there's two for the pro-Otto merge, and one that's against. Anyone else have any thoughts on it?
Trust no one.I say we don't merge them. We keep the other characters separate between the two movies so I don't know why we'd be making an exception here.
I believe we discussed merging them to keep some consistency, given how we're incorporating Logan and Wade's pages into the MCU, and we're troping their stuff from different continuities on the same page.
Trust no one.I’m in support of merging it, mainly because I believe that it consolidates their tropes. I’ve seen tropes about Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire’s MCU appearance in their respective pages and I believe that merging them removes that problem. If their appearances in No Way Home are non-canon like how Guest Fighters appear in fighting games, then they should be separate pages but despite some continuity errors in No Way Home, they’re still treated as the exact same characters from their original appearances.
I’m also in support of adding Eddie Brock’s MCU tropes to his SSU page. Gets some bytes off of the Multiverse page which is constantly under threat of having too many bytes.

I don't really have much more to add but I agree with both the previous two points made.
It's gonna be fun on the bun!I've already moved Eddie's tropes to his own page in the SSU to help with that purpose. Trope consolidation in general is something I like doing. It's why I think I'm indirectly responsible for getting Hector Salamanca his own page, which I think is pretty cool.
Trust no one.
Exactly.
