To-do list:
- Move wicks to either Optional Boss or Superboss. The former is the supertrope for optional bosses in general, while the latter is a subtrope for bosses that are harder than mandatory bosses, including the Final Boss. If an example is clear about a boss being optional but not how strong the boss is, Optional Boss should be the default trope to move examples to.
So, Bonus Boss is supposed to be an optional boss that is significantly harder than even the final boss, and is meant to provide an extra challenge to veterans. However, most wicks just use it as “any optional boss”. This is undoubtedly because of the name- the usual/proper name for “really-hard optional boss” is Super Boss.
So, after discussing it in Bonus Boss nuances
, we have decided to split the trope- Bonus Boss should be renamed to Super Boss, the redirect, while the misuse should be sent to Secret Boss and other such pages that we will create, which have been outlined in the wick check.

Considering how big this trope is, I think it might be a good idea to wait a little.

So, this option has the most consensus in favor of it:
I'm assuming Bonus Boss would be turned into a redirect if we did that, but would it redirect to Optional Boss or Superboss? I'm assuming the former considering how it's (mis)used, but the crowner option doesn't address that.
Edit from a bit later: I suppose we could use a crowner to decide where the redirect goes if necessary.

Is there anything that needs to be done aside from doing the Trope Transplant? That would mean moving Bonus Boss's definition to Superboss, turning Optional Boss into a supetrope to the tropes currently listed on it (and changing it from a disambiguation page to a trope), and turning Bonus Boss into a redirect to Optional Boss.

Is Sandbox.Optional Boss ready to be put in place? I figured we could add examples after putting the description in place, whether it means transplanting misuse from Bonus Boss's on-page examples during the process of moving that trope to Superboss, or crosswicking Bonus Boss wicks that get moved to Optional Boss instead of Superboss.

At any rate, I think it's about time to start sandboxing Optional Boss description, which examples need to go there, and if Bonus Boss description needs any adjustments. The vote gap for Superboss seems to have got wider, so I'm not sure if it's safe to call already.
