Pagetopper. It was an ATT Thread concerning Proud Warrior Race Guy changed to Proud Warrior Race without discussion.

Shall we need a mod approval to revert to Proud Warrior Race Guy?

Also, Climate Change still has 106 wicks on them. Still need help on moving them to Global Warming.

Why would we, honestly? Users can't change trope names without discussion. This should be a free revert.

I mean, get a mod if you feel safer, but I don't see why we'd need permission.

As for , do the wicks really need to be moved? It's not like it's a trope name, it's Useful Notes, and in many cases Climate Change is the more accurate descriptor.

Given the TRS backlog is still full to change Global Warming / Climate Change to a Useful Notes page, my guess is to revert it for the time being before there's room to rename it.

What I mean is, it's just a Useful Notes page for a specific concept. I think using a redirect isn't a big deal in this case. If anything it'd just make a potential rename much, much easier on everyone. The lack of interest in reverting it also sort of proves my point- it's really not that big of a deal.

...And why do you keep pinging seemingly random tropers?

You know, alnair, if you put as much effort into reverting them yourself as you did in trying to get other people to do it, you'd probably be done with the project by now.

And I totally agree with , it's really not that big a deal. If it's a priority for you, do it yourself and cite the relevant threads.

Anyway, back to reverting Proud Warrior Race Guy from Proud Warrior Race. I guess asking a mod is a form of courtesy call to me. I feel like moving a trope, even to it's redirect name, is a bigger layer than moving a Work or a Useful Note, given the TRS system.

With incidents such as how AHI moving pages (even from main pages like Global Warming and Proud Warrior Race Guy) without consensus because they interpret vague answers from old threads as a "yes", is kinda unbecoming and the loopholes are being expoited.

Well, Proud Warrior Race was the redirect and Proud Warrior Race Guy the actual page until AHI's unilateral move. So, properly speaking this move is moving it BACK to the proper title and away from the redirect.

I've restored Proud Warrior Race Guy and changed Proud Warrior Race to a redirect back to that page.

I have to say, it's always really bugged me that that's a redirect whereas Proud Merchant Race and Proud Scholar Race are the actual trope names. Doing it unilaterally is wrong, but I'd actually approve of the change if there was a way to do it properly.

I believe in consistent trope names.

If the main trope page is Proud Warrior Race Guy, yet we have Proud Merchant Race and Proud Scholar Race, then we should have "Guy" be appended to the merchant and scholar counterparts as the main pages.

Likewise, there's Demographic-Dissonant Crossover and Demographically Inappropriate Humour as being inconsistent, as well as Ethnic God and Ethnicity Monarch.

I reverted the redirects I mentioned in this post, except for Creator.Sony Imagesoft because I'm not sure if that page is salvageable.

Edit: AHI also redirected Creator.Guerrilla Cambridge to Creator.Guerrilla Games, so I reverted that as well.

3 days ago, Zerukin moved a bunch of characters from the Characters.Dragalia Lost subpages all to Characters.Dragalia Lost Antagonists Recruitable. This feels extremely arbitrary, especially since the prior grouping was much more intuitive, such as having the Token Evil Teammate who is a Wind adventurer be grouped with the other wind adventurers, with whom her common archetype would be what players think of first.

Edit to add: Also, with how few antagonists even are playable anyway, the page's existance feels like the motivation was to increase page count for its own sake.

Found another big change from, again, AHI-3000.... They completely changed the contents of Made-for-TV Movie and Television Movie Index, turning the latter into a redirect for the former.

It's a decent change in concept, but not one which should be done unilaterally. And it's AHI, so... revert on sight.

Okay, I think I fixed it back to the way it was before, with the newer additions safely indexed by copying the current list. Please look at it and tell me if it looks right.

Edit: While I was attempting to reindex Television Movie Index, I also undid their changes to Television and Television.

Dusting off this thread again.

Seems Public Domain got a large edit by Golden Seals. They left without an edit reason, and I know that last year, this was moved to a Useful Notes by AHI 3000 without any edit reason before being moved back.

Is the edit unilateral?

I just bumped into this edit to "StrawMisogynist". Specifically, it seems that in January of last year, a troper named Master N changed the definition of the "Straw Misogynist" trope to indicate that it's a sub-trope of the trope "Politically Incorrect Villain". (And removed a previous indication that examples were "almost always" examples of that trope.) No edit reason was given.

Is this change one that should be reverted?

On another, more general note, I recall a troper saying in a thread once that they had made unilateral changes. While they were told at the time that they shouldn't do so, should their history be looked at for such changes...? Or is that overstepping? (I will say that I don't know whether this was perhaps done at the time anyway.)
