Comfort characters

When I was hyperfixating on Awful Hospital, Celia was a comfort character for me. It made me super happy whenever I saw her and I would often reread pages she was on just because I loved her dialogue.

A big one for me is Oliver Tree's character Turbo. I find him extremely relatable and lovable, even if those who don't like Oliver Tree despise him. I personally love him and even have a plush of him.

Lately Scandinavia and the World has been a comfort work for me and the most comforting characters for me would be Finland (especially when he is actually happy), Denmark and Norway as a pair, and to a lesser extent Germany.

Speaking of Nations as People works, there's Latvia from Axis Powers Hetalia. He's not even my number one favorite character of the series but he's my comfort one. Also Sealand.

I have a soft spot for all three Earthen Heart disciples. I wish all three could have lived and that two of them didn't have to die for the plot to progress, goddammit game!

I think I like the Dean Cain version of him the most.

Baymax! After one too many times getting burned by the American healthcare system, I would literally sell my bones for Baymax to be real. His self-titled series helps me relax just watching it.

Lately I’ve started to realize that looking at and thinking about Human Princess Celestia seems to have a calming effect on me. :) ^_^;;

Fuck, I mentioned it before but I think I got way more attached to Leela than I have to a character in ages.

Like I swear, I connect every other fictional thing I love to her, I've had dreams about her and even as her, I almost feel weird getting into production trivia because the Futurama characters feel so special to me that it feels lame to remember it's all fiction. Also probably cosplaying her for Halloween if I can.

I'm not entirely sure what happened, but Human Princess Celestia has stopped being just a crush and has now officially become my waifu. And you know, it feels great.

Yayoi from Smile Pre Cure! She's a comic fan as well as a Shrinking Violet, and I've got a soft spot for timid characters.

-Massimo from Producing Parker. One character I always wanted a plush of but will never have due to the show's extreme obscurity.

-Mosh from My Dad the Rock Star because a lizard with the mannerisms of a dog is just too adorable. "Psychic Convetion" is one of my favorite and the most wholesome episode of the entire series.

Jake the Dog from Adventure Time.

I've been super attached to him for over ten years now (I'm autistic btw) and I feel so relaxed whenever I hear his voice. I've owned so many plushies of him. He's just so lovable.

Rocko from Rocko's Modern Life.

I rewatched the series not too long ago, and I somehow got so attached to him. His somewhat soft voice, as well as his polite personality, also make me feel relaxed.

Weirdly enough, Shin Amon? He may be a phone-stealing, framerate-dropping bastard (affectionate) but I also love how he's got a more casual and chill side behind the more "serious" image he initially puts up, just chilling while eating a bunch of food in his downtime in Yakuza Like A Dragon (which you can interrupt and catch him off-guard) and outright switching to a more friendly, casually-speaking personality after the Lost Judgment fight against his brother Juzo, just wanting to hang out and go drinking with Yagami. gap moe tbh

Kirby, not just because he's adorable but because the incredible positivity associated with him, he just wants to make friends, and protects the ones he's already got

Pretty much every "Dad" on One Piece, like Jinbe and KUMA. Kuma's plight is so sad but the way he pulls through made him one of my fave characters ever.

Quite a few fictional detectives are very charming and likeable. I have a strong affection in particular for Columbo, Jessica Fletcher, David Suchet's Poirot, and Jeremy Brett's Sherlock Holmes.

The main characters from My Dress-Up Darling, Marin Kitagawa and Gojo Wakana. They're just so adorable and wholesome together (even when they're talking about NSFW works sometimes ), the relationship they build up is super sweet.

Any and all non-evil cute characters, but specially Lucky Swiftail. He's so wholesome.❤

I've got a lot of them, but Milo Murphy is one of my biggest ones. Unsurprising, given he's the character I typically choose as my avatar these days - and one of my favorite fictional characters in general.

The fact that he's voiced by one of my favorite people definitely helps matters.

My list has grown since getting into the Fate Series... if I were to list all of them it'd be a Wall of Text

I have plenty, but if I have to choose one right now, probably Yin-Yang, been obsessed with him since 2015, and although my hyperfixation recently came back, despite changing a lot, I still love him!
