General Image Links discussion

Here's a place to discuss the cleanup of Image Links pages, as well as to get help curating them. Common issues include:

• Just a Face and a Caption: Like page images, image links need to illustrate the trope, not just a character that fits the trope.
• Image links of NSFW pictures and ones that link to NSFW sites. If you aren't sure if an image link is acceptable, come over here to discuss it.
• Poor-quality images.
• Broken links.

So am I to assume that pictures in the Image Links should adhere to the same standards as the Main/ page images?

Probably? Some IP threads put the "Runners Up" in Image Links. IDK, we should get ~Willbyr's take.

I have no problem with pics on IL pages that are crap quality, completely undemonstrative, or have broken links being removed.

Someone brought up ImageLinks.Dirty Cop on ATT a couple days ago, and I think the page can be cut. The Batman and Training Day images are both broken links, and the rest are just images of cops who aren't doing anything dirty.

I agree. Many of them are "here's a tough-looking cop".
