El Chavo Animado has two examples contradicting eachother.
The Spared by the Adaptation example says that one episode had its ending altered from the original live-action series so that Quico's cat doesn't die and just ends up on a wheelchair. But earlier on the same page, under Bowdlerise, it's said that the "cat on a wheelchair" scene was an alternative ending made exclusively for the show's English dub and the original Mexican version had the dead cat. Now, which one is the true version?
The best character is always the one-shot disguise.Given that those examples have a much bigger problem between them, it turns out the best option is to cut them both.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.Creator.Rough Draft Studios says that the Japanese studio Orange is a division/label of the company. However, I can't find any sources for this claim, including on both studios' websites.
Avatar by Butterscotch Arts. Used under license. This tidbit on Misaimed Marketing:
- In the early 2000s, someone at American Greetings got the wise idea of spinning off Grumpy Bear from the Care Bears into his own line of clothes. While the idea itself isn't wrong given Grumpy's popularity with the Care Bears fandom, the execution was off by several miles- American Greetings was for some reason convinced that Grumpy Bear's fans are goths and all the merchandise released under the line were tacky goth colored dark red and navy blue on black with gothic font peppered everywhere. This went as far as the downloadable wallpapers on the American Greetings website. And to keep the merch from falling into the hands of regular fans and to prevent Moral Guardians from coming after them, the spinoff was never advertised widely- which led to the misconception that the then-holder of the rights to the franchise, Play Along Toys, did not want two blue-colored bears and cancelled Grumpy in favor of Bedtime Bear. Thankfully, this was corrected by the mid-2000s, when the Care Bears: Adventures in Care-a-Lot reboot came around.
Is this even true? I tried looking up stuff about the supposed "Care Bears Grumpy goth spinoff line" and "care bears grumpy goth clothing line" and found absolutely nothing. Moreover, this is not mentioned on the Care Bears fandom wiki or on the Wikipedia page for the series.
We are the best friends, we stand as one. Whatever life may bring, we are never alone. From Creator.Stephen King (emphasis added) —
Correct pronoun? I did a quick internet search and didn't see any mention, including on what I think is Naomi's YouTube channel. (I suppose it's also possible that the sentence is attributing Naomi's writing to the family's credit, I guess, though that isn't something I've ever seen before and sounds somewhat diminishing.)
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableNot just that, but Misaimed Marketing is itself in TRS and is being reworked into Misaimed Merchandising and so may not fit in the new trope.

Kirby is awesome. To quote a Twitter feed identified as belonging to Naomi King:
- Rev. Naomi King (they/them)@revnaomiUnitarian Universalist teacher, justice-seeker, wheelchair user, yoga teacher, Queer and Genderqueer, and lover of life!
Naomi King is also specifically noted on The Other Wiki (via their father's page), and on their own page on the Stephen King Wiki, as being a Unitarian Universalist minister, and identifies their partner as a woman. These details match the given identity of the Twitter feed user. On top of that, I can't find anything indicating this Twitter user isn't King's child, so for now I'd stick with "they" as their preferred pronoun.
Until next time...

The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableFrom Anime.Kaginado:
- Not-So-Imaginary Friend: Nishizono's younger sister Midori is depicted as an Imaginary Friend. In episode 7, when asked where Midori is, Nishizono claims that Midori has been standing next to her the entire time. Since the others don't see her, they are creeped out by this. Despite this, Riki actually counts Midori as one of the ten girls he had sex with. She actually makes her first appearance in episode 22, but none of the characters are shown to react to her unlike with all the other candidates.
Or maybe it's Nishizono pretending to be Midori? I watched the whole show in a marathon earlier today, and I think Nishizono faking it could help explain why she didn't get any sort of reaction.
I'm lovin' it. (My Troper Wall)Edit: I was wrong on this. Please ignore.

Thomas fans needed! Come join me in the the show's cleanup thread! On WarpThatAesop.Western Animation, an example about Popeye has a nattery subbullet claiming that spinach being Popeye's Power-Up Food is actually a stealth reference to a bunch of old sayings and beliefs around drugs ("Spinach" being used as a slang term to talk about marijuana, sailors being associated to hemp, and urban legends about weed turning people in superhuman berserkers).
I can't find any proof on this stuff.
The best character is always the one-shot disguise.- The Ubisoft title Skull & Bones was initially announced back in 2013, as an expansion pack for Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. Since then, it's undergone several iterations, and a decade later, they still plan on releasing it ... sometime.
...Well, according to my Xbox Series S, Skull and Bones is available for pre-order now and will release on February 13th, 2024. Cut or reword?

"As long as I have my comrades with me, I can do anything!" (She/Her) (Current Focus: Indentation cleanup)Reword now, and then cut on release.
Problem is, there aren't any examples on the page with release dates, and the same can be said for Saved from Development Hell. I would've just moved it there otherwise.
"As long as I have my comrades with me, I can do anything!" (She/Her) (Current Focus: Indentation cleanup)This is on AscendedMeme.Video Games (bolded part by me):
- In the Sinnoh games, it is very common for players to form a party using their starter, Staraptor, Luxray, Lucario, Togekiss, the evolution for the gift Eevee, and Bibarel. In the animated short Bidoof's Big Stand, at the 4:20 mark it shows that the focus trainer's team uses these exact Pokémon (sans Staraptor and Bibarel is unevolved).
Last time I checked the "meme Sinnoh team" was formed by Infernape, Staraptor, Luxray, Lucario, Garchomp and Floatzel. (not to mention that Togekiss and Eevee would be available only in Platinum and the remakes...)
The best character is always the one-shot disguise.I guess it does sort of depend on who you ask. I've seen both team variations floating around.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure Pureness(x6) Also find this doubtful. After a cursory look using Google Books, I found a few books on marijuana that claim that "spinach" is/was slang for marijuana and that Popeye's spinach is a stealth marijuana reference, but they never had good sources to back those claims up. One of the more interesting (but still unsourced) claims is that Harry J. Anslinger, head of the U.S. Treasury Department's Federal Bureau of Narcotics thought Popeye eating spinach was actually a reference to marijuana use (which the author calls a "delusion") and that prompted Julia Lee And Her Boyfriends to make fun of his claims in "The Spinach Song".
Disregard; I realise now that this may be the wrong thread for what I want to accomplish.

"As long as I have my comrades with me, I can do anything!" (She/Her) (Current Focus: Indentation cleanup)Did Caroline Kepnes' You come out during 2015 or 2014?
Wikipedia says 2014, but other sources say 2015
Should I just change the retronym to the author instead?

Art Museum Curator and frequent helper of the Web Original deprecation projectI see only 2014, not sure what "other sources" say 2015 aside reprints.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupI guess the title and work description on TVT is wrong then. Sigh, move time.
Art Museum Curator and frequent helper of the Web Original deprecation projectThough, honestly I'll just move via author's name. Far more people know it by author than publishing year.

- Ironic Name: "Gepard" is German for cheetah, an animal that is known for being a Fragile Speedster, while Gepard himself is a Mighty Glacier.
Is it true that Cheetahs are fragile? Because I know nothing about Cheetahs (besides they are fast) and I want to be sure.
